Submitted by Harmon Wood on Thu, 2007-01-25 16:18.There has been an awesome sighting of a frilled shark in tokyo. Being very sick, the shark ventured to shallow waters away from it's 1000m habitat to die.
Several sightings of dead Chlamydoselachus anguineus( aka. frilled shark), have been known to happen, however it is a very rare thing to see one alive.
The Awashima Marine Park in Shizuoka, moved the shark from the ocean to a controlled tank, until it's death.
